Taking care of your furs
  • Your fur requires proper air circulation; Use a cloth bag when traveling or transporting your fur to and from storage.
  • Use a well constructed hanger that fits the shoulder and neckline of your coat.
  • Refrain from excessive use of shoulder straps while wearing your fur, as this too will lead to premature wear.
  • Unbutton your coat and lift it slightly when driving to avoid friction.
  • Mend any small tears immediately.
  • Have your fur checked for repairs and cleaned annually.
  • Never dry a wet fur using heating devices; shake out excess moisture and hang in a well ventilated room.
  • Fluff your fur by shaking it, not by brushing it.
  • Your furs, leathers, shearlings and fine outerwear will provide you with years of enjoyable wear when they are professionally conditioned and stored.

  • Note: Storing fur coats in a cedar closet is not recommended. The lack of air circulation and humidity dries the natural oils from the skins of your coat. The fur becomes dull, and breaks.
